(Whitepaper) VoIP - PSTN service convergence
What is the future of classic telecom services and will the operators provide continuity for their wireline subscribers?
NSF Telecom has written a white paper to present an evolution model which makes it possible to retain existing business models and telephony services, and even gain the capability to expand on new features.
Wireline is still remaining a fair source of revenue for a number of operators. However there are costs involved which have a pressure to increase while aging networks require more maintenance and eventually modernization. Also the special competence required to operate and maintain the legacy networks is getting harder and harder to find.
From the wireline modernization point of view the obvious next step will be all IP networks for telephony. This is a major migration step and requires a lot of effort. In addition, the classic telephony services are not typically supported in all IP networks solutions.
See the complete story about NSF Telecom's proposed evolution model in the attached white paper.
